Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever squad are off to a rough start in the 2025 WNBA season, but they continue to pull in crowds whenever they play. The guard's Fever-inspired Nike Kobe 5 Protro first seen last fall recently made headlines as Alex Caruso wore it in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers.
Officially clad in a "Midnight Navy/Bright Crimson/University Gold/Midnight Navy" color scheme, the special basketball sneaker was originally believed to be another Player-Exclusive (PE) for the exciting WNBA star. Debuted during warmup on an unassuming day in September 2024, the pair features a predominantly dark-colored upper and sole unit. Hits of yellow and orange animate profile swooshes, the tongue-and-laces, and plastic heel clip.
As Clark and her Swoosh family finalize details around her guaranteed signature sneaker line, the 23-year-old guard continues to be a face for the late Kobe Bryant's series. Her "Light Armory Blue" Kobe 6 Protro is expected to release throughout the holiday season.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details and official photos of the Indiana Fever-inspired Kobe 5. Pairs should launch for $190 before July arrives.
