August 1 Opens the Month With a Stacked Sneaker Lineup

August begins with a crowded release calendar featuring new and returning styles from Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, Pharrell Williams, Kobe Bryant, and more.

The August 1 lineup stretches across basketball, running, football-inspired footwear, and lifestyle releases, giving shoppers plenty of options on the first day of the month.

Kobe Bryant’s growing Nike lifestyle collection is represented by the Air Force 1 Low “Electric Green.” The pair features a Vast Grey upper with a snakeskin-like finish, while Electric Green covers the lining, outsole, and additional branding. Kobe’s Nos. 8 and 24 are embroidered across the heels, joining Sheath logos and “Mamba Forever” lace details.

Nike Basketball is also bringing back the Air Max2 CB 94 in its familiar “Black/Varsity Royal” colorway. The Charles Barkley signature model combines black nubuck with blue leather panels, silver mesh details, and a white midsole. Select retailers are expected to release the retro on August 1, ahead of a wider Nike launch later in the month.

Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals add the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish “White” to the day’s lineup. The sculpted lifestyle runner is dressed in layered white and cream shades, highlighting its exaggerated overlays, open framework, and oversized tooling. The pair is scheduled to release through adidas and select retailers for $300.

Another notable Nike release arrives through the Air Max Joga Bonito “Neon.” Inspired by football and Ronaldo Nazário’s iconic Mercurial R9, the hybrid model combines flowing upper lines with full-length Air Max cushioning. Dark grey and black cover most of the shoe, while bright Neon accents appear across the Swoosh and visible Air units.

College fans will also have plenty to choose from through the NCAA x Nike Vomero 18 collection. The 22-team pack dresses Nike’s maximum-cushion running model in school-specific colors and branding, with universities including Oregon, Michigan, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, North Carolina, and more represented.

The NCAA Vomero 18 collection arrives ahead of the fall semester for $165 through participating university team stores and Dick’s Sporting Goods, with a Nike release also expected.

Jordan Brand has several major releases scheduled for August 1, beginning with the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Love Letter.” Inspired by Michael Jordan’s relationship with basketball, the pair combines white leather with dark brown suede and Light British Tan overlays. A Team Red outsole adds color underneath, while the mix of nubuck and leather is designed to develop character over time.

The “Love Letter” Air Jordan 1 High OG will be available in full-family sizing, with adult pairs priced at $185.

Ghanaian creative collective Free The Youth is also bringing back the Air Jordan 16. Its collaborative take on the model features a metallic silver upper with orange and green accents, retaining the silhouette’s removable leather shroud and revealing additional details underneath. The pair is scheduled to release first through Free The Youth on August 1 before receiving a wider launch later in the month.

Rounding out the featured lineup is the Air Jordan 13 “Flint,” one of the model’s most recognizable original colorways. Returning for the first time since 2020, the 1998 design combines white leather with French Blue mesh, Flint Grey suede, reflective detailing, and the Air Jordan 13’s signature holographic emblem.

The Air Jordan 13 “Flint” will release in full-family sizing, with adult pairs priced at $215.

Several additional releases are also expected on August 1, including the Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Atomic Pink" (Via select retailers), Jordan Spizike Low “White Cement,” Jordan DMSN 95 “Black,” Nike Giannis Freak 8 “Hyper Pink,” and adidas Harden Vol. 10 “Northern Lights.”
