Nike continues to explore bold and creative interpretations of its retro classics, and the Dunk Low is the latest to receive a unique makeover. Known for its mix of timeless appeal and new-age twists, Dunk Low’s latest release delivers an intricate design that draws inspiration from Baroque detailing, adding a touch of old-time opulence to the silhouette.
This iteration features a deep plum leather base, embossed with a tactile, Baroque-inspired debossing that runs across the Swoosh and heel overlays, bringing texture and depth to the upper. Beneath that, smooth sail leather is a clean contrast, adding a subtle richness to the design. The color palette is further enhanced by adding olive and beige canvas overlays, which create a muted yet captivating contrast against the darker plum base.
The Dunk Low also boasts some thoughtful details, including a woven textile tongue that brings texture to the shoe’s construction and russet-colored sock liners for added warmth. The purple-trimmed laces tie everything together. The final touches come in a metallic, iridescent heel counter and cold brand markings, which nod to Nike’s upcoming Year of the Snake designs, though it doesnt appear to be overly connected to that collection.
Expect a release on February 8th, 2025.
