The New Balance 740v2 "Cyber Jade" Releases Summer 2025

The retro wave continues at New Balance with another classic runner reimagined in bold fashion for Summer 2025. This time it’s the New Balance 740v2, arriving in a vibrant “Cyber Jade” colorway.

A far cry from its 2000s running roots, this version of the 740v2 leans heavily into lifestyle territory with a high-energy palette of teal mesh, pink ABZORB midsoles, and black synthetic overlays. The fluorescent contrast between the aqua blue upper and bubblegum accents evokes that unmistakable Miami aesthetic, while the black framing gives the design added edge and structure. A pink-outlined “N” logo continues the theme at the midfoot, tying everything back to the early 2000s era of tech runners and track-ready performance.

While the 740v2 may not have had the same spotlight as New Balance’s 990 series or even the 1906R, this updated look proves the silhouette has plenty of style potential. Technical midsole detailing and classic ABZORB cushioning bring a familiar level of comfort and support, while the aggressive sole and upper paneling stay true to the brand’s Y2K design language.
