Air Jordan 6 "Sport Blue" to Return Fall 2027
Jordan Brand is pulling out all the stops for the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 in 2027. Having kicked things off in February 2026 with the launch of the remastered "Salesman" retro, the silhouette's proper anniversary year will include a number of faithful reissues from its original run—including the "Sport Blue" pair.
Sometimes referred to as the "September Blue" colorway, the two-tone style forms part of the sixth Air Jordan's debut in 1991. According to the duo of X user @zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, the festive return of the white-and-blue sneaker includes Nike Air branding on the spine for the first time in more than 30 years.
The most recent release of the "Sport Blue" Air Jordan 6 took place in 2014, but this retro featured Jumpman logos on the spine instead of OG Nike Air text.

The rumored return of the "White/Sport Blue/Black"-colored AJ6 isn't the only blue-colored edition of the iconic basketball shoe expected to launch for its 35th anniversary; a Nigel Sylvester "Paperboy" Jordan 6 collaboration is slated to release by Fall 2027.
One element that set the original "Sport Blue" release apart from the handful of Air Jordan 6 offerings that made up the sneaker's debut run is that it consisted of a leather upper instead of the Durabuck™ material found on beloved "Black/Infrared" pair. As with the aforementioned "Salesman" drop and other Nike Air-branded releases in 2026, the 35th anniversary retro of the white-and-blue sneaker should feature a tongue weight and toe box shape that's as close-to-the-original as possible.
