Zaire Miylaun Stewart—also known as the artist Lady London—recently took to social media to showcase items from the latest Howard University x Jordan Brand Fall 2026 Collection.
The proud HU alum is pictured in the Jordan Flight Varsity Jacket, Corset, and other apparel, but a standout piece displayed by the Bronx-native is the Air Jordan 1 Low OG dedicated to the Howard Bison.
Rumored for months, the silhouette is previewed in all its satin "Midnight Navy" glory by Lady London. Profile Swooshes opt for a red-and-white color scheme that also lands on the tongue tag and Achilles' heel.
Pairs of the commemorative collaboration are expected to release on Thursday, Oct. 1.
Jordan Brand looks set to revisit one of its recent collegiate-inspired colorways, with reports pointing to another retail release of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard University” arriving in October 2026. The upcoming pair follows closely behind the 2024 version, which drew clear inspiration from the historic HBCU despite not carrying any official school branding at retail.
That 2024 release leaned heavily into Howard’s unmistakable palette, pairing deep navy tones with rich red overlays and clean white underlays — a color combination synonymous with the Washington D.C. institution. While the sneaker never featured official logos or marks from the university, the connection was widely understood, especially given Jordan Brand’s long-standing relationship with Howard athletics.
It remains unclear whether the 2026 Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard University” will arrive with official collegiate branding. The school has received several player exclusives from Jordan Brand in recent years, many of which proudly display the Bison logo across classic silhouettes. Standout examples include special editions of the Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 1, and Air Jordan 6, all produced for the university’s athletic programs. These PEs have rarely made it beyond campus, making them some of the more intriguing collegiate exclusives in Jordan Brand’s vault.
Regardless of whether official logos appear on the retail pair, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard University” is expected to once again arrive dressed in the school’s signature colors. That familiar navy, red, and white combination has become a natural fit for the silhouette and continues Jordan Brand’s ongoing support of HBCU programs through storytelling and design.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard University” is currently expected to release in October 2026 via Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers.
