Harmony Korine’s EDGLRD is stepping into the sneaker space with Converse, bringing its surreal visual language to one of footwear's most familiar canvases: the Chuck 70.
The debut EDGLRD x Converse release includes two takes on the classic silhouette, with a black Chuck 70 High and a white Chuck 70 Ox, both set to release on July 9. Each pair keeps the Chuck’s traditional canvas build, rubber toe cap, metal eyelets, and vintage-style midsole, but the mood shifts completely through EDGLRD’s warped graphic treatment.
The Chuck 70 High arrives in black canvas with tonal laces, black hardware, and a matching sole unit. Across the upper, a yellow illustrated figure stretches over the side panels and midsole, giving the pair an almost poster-like finish. Small EDGLRD markings appear worked into the artwork, while the classic ankle patch remains in place on the medial side.
The low-top Chuck 70 Ox takes the opposite approach, starting with a white canvas base and standard white laces before adding a large black animal graphic across the lateral side. The artwork spills over the heel and midsole, with a black star stamped near the rear and black striping along the foxing to tie the look together.

EDGLRD has built its identity around film, animation, gaming, and AI-driven visual experiments, and that chaotic mix comes through clearly here. Rather than overhauling the Chuck 70, the collaboration uses the shoe as a flat canvas for artwork that feels more like a frame pulled from one of Korine’s worlds than a standard sneaker graphic.
The EDGLRD x Converse Chuck 70 collection will release on Nike.com on July 9, with the Chuck 70 High priced at $100 and the Chuck 70 Ox priced at $105.
