The Three Stripes is turning back the clock to 1991 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of adidas EQT, the performance-oriented initiative that ushered in a new era for the German sportswear brand. The company will commemorate the occasion with a number of different initiatives—including the launch of a special edition adidas Predator 26.
While not as synonymous with the franchise as other silhouettes in the expansive adidas catalog, the Predator line of football boots were once branded with "Equipment" messaging that served as a stamp of approval across the globe, promising a high-performing product. Designs throughout the mid-to-late-1990s paired well with EQT gear produced for the likes of England's Liverpool, creating bold proposals for use on and off-the-pitch.
adidas EQT's signature green tone animates numerous details on the Predator 26, which opts for a predominantly "Core Black" ensemble.

Numerous callouts to the Equipment series appear throughout the boots and their packaging. A nod to the franchise's 1991 founding year also claims real estate on the fold-over tongue (FT).
Tech-wise, the commemorative style keeps all of its beloved elements intact—from HYBRIDTOUCH uppers and STRIKESKIN zones to CONTROLFRAME 2.0 sole plates. This third component features a striking bluish-green gradient that shimmers in the light. The elastic band connected to the aforementioned tongue sees "Equipment" messaging that further connects the modern football boot to adidas' past.
Enjoy detailed photos of the Predator 26 boot ahead. Pairs are expected to release via adidas.com on March 9, before the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tournament kicks off.
