Darius Acuff Jr. is getting his first player-exclusive sneaker with Reebok, arriving on the Engine A in a bold red colorway.
The new pair dresses Reebok’s performance basketball model in neon cherry red overlays across a mesh base, while Acuff’s newly introduced signature logo appears on the tongue. The look keeps the Engine A’s familiar build intact while giving the silhouette a clear connection to the young guard.
For Acuff, the release brings things back to the shoe that helped begin his relationship with Reebok.
“The Engine A was the shoe that brought me to the brand,” Acuff said. “The first time I wore these I knew where I wanted to be, so it makes sense to start my pro journey with a PE of what started it all. Stay tuned for Acuff 1.”
On the performance side, the Engine A features ERS SuperFloat Foam for cushioning and energy return, along with an underfoot stability plate designed to keep the ride supportive and responsive.
The Darius Acuff Jr. x Reebok Engine A PE releases October 21 at 7 PM ET in limited quantities exclusively through Reebok.com for $130.
The release also offers an early hint at what could be next for Acuff, with the guard directly teasing an upcoming “Acuff 1” signature model.
