Sweden's cult-favorite brand Our Legacy just took to social media to tease a footwear collaboration with Nike Running. Now, fans of the brand—do not fret! It's rather unlikely that the European label founded in 2005 stops producing your favorite Camion Boot. Instead, a linkup with the Swoosh means you have something stylish to wear whenever you want to give your boots a rest.
The two years have seen Nike Running completely overhaul is lineup of product and marketing, leading to the widespread success of the Vomero Plus and Pegasus Premium, just to name a couple of styles. Melitta Baumeister also lent its creative vision to two silhouettes, blending avant garde fashion with performance.
Our Legacy x Nike Running should be another notable marriage of style and running.
As of writing, only a logo lockup has been shared to Instagram, alongside a haiku that previews the ethos behind the first-time project: "Technology disguised, for all day athletes/To look slow, but feel fast/ Is one thing better than another."
It's still to early to tell which model(s) within the Nike Running roster Our Legacy will be reimagining, especially because several franchises (Pegasus, Vomero, Structure) are due for updates. The haiku's mentioning of "feel[ing] fast" evokes images of the Pegasus Plus 2 or all-new Swooshfly.
Historically, Nike hasn't been as open to allowing collaborators interpret its top-of-the-line racing shoes, relegating collaborative projects to everyday running shoes, but that may change with Our Legacy.
In any case, the collab promises to further blend two disparate worlds.
