Nike Running's Zoom Vomero 5 delivered maximum comfort across hundreds of miles when it debuted in the early 2010s. It's now been superceeded by a handful of new iterations, but the fifth offering in the volume-focused franchise continues to stay relevant within the lifestyle space. Ahead of summer, the design has surfaced in a Women's-exclusive "Sanddrift/Black" color scheme.
Akin to other retros of the Vomero 5, the impending launch takes on a predominantly two-tone makeover across its running-informed upper. Plastic "cages" at the mid-foot take on the same pitch-dark tone as the triangular component around the lower heel. Fabric overlays around the forefoot follow suit, contrasting their sand-reminiscent surroundings. Elements on and around the tongue, just as the Cushlon foam underfoot, introduce a lighter "Hemp" hue. The third color rounds out the muted color scheme, prepping it for the second-half of the year.
