Over the last handful of years, swoosh-branded footwear has become the topic of conversation amongst some of the most uninformed consumers thanks to classic styles from the Nike Sportswear division. One such offering that's become synonymous with the brand is the white-and-black Dunk Low aptly dubbed "Panda." As the silhouette celebrates its 40th anniversary, the Swoosh has prepped a number of different panda-inspired releases, with the latest opting for a "Light Violet Ore" makeover.

While developed with the same color-blocking as other editions, the newly-surfaced pair features a faint purple-colored leather base overlaid with darker patent leather panels. The midsole indulges in a trendy faux-aged aesthetic that harkens back to 1985. What sets the impending Nike Dunk apart from the two-tone style that exploded in popularity a few years ago is its inclusion of panda imagery via its special hangtag and the tongue label's underside. The latter component reads Est. 1985, nodding to the sneaker design's debut year.

Another playful touch to the impending drop is the set of instructions printed on the shoe box. Collectors can fold the packaging in such a way as to turn it into storage for a plant or miscellaneous items. The two-tone box differs from most Nike Sportswear boxes.

Enjoy official photos of the "Light Violet Ore" pair ahead. The Dunk Low should land via Nike.com by November for around $115.
