As Sergio Lozano’s Air Max 95 marks its 30th anniversary, Nike is celebrating the occasion in the best way possible—by bringing back the original 'Neon" colorway with the Big Bubble treatment.. Widely regarded as one of the most significant Air Max releases ever, this legendary mix of neon green and neutral greys has been a defining look for the silhouette, returning multiple times since its debut in 1995.
While retros of the 'Neon' Air Max 95 have been staples over the years—dropping in 2001, 2010, 2015, 2018, and most recently in 2020—this 2025 edition is expected to stand out by faithfully returning as close-to-OG construction as possible. Nike has been rolling out more heritage-accurate remakes across the revolutionary visible Air line since 2023's Air Max 1 Big Bubble drop, and the AM95’s 30th anniversary presents the perfect opportunity to revive Lozano’s original vision.

Hints of this release first surfaced during SNKRS Showcase in late 2024, followed by a confirmed sighting in Awake NY’s Spring 2025 catalog, where the pair was featured alongside their Air Jordan 5 collaboration. With these leaks building anticipation, a March or April 2025 release window seems likely, aligning with Nike’s Air Max Day celebrations.
It's important to point out that the "Big Bubble" distinction on the 30-year-old silhouette arrives in the form of a seam on the Air unit at the heel. Most reissues of the iconic colorway (and sneaker, for that matter) have not featured the detail. The seam has also appeared on inline versions of the '95 drop since the Swoosh announced the Big Bubble 'Neon' Air Max was returning.
Beyond the OG 'Neon' return, Nike is also placing a renewed focus on the sneaker throughout the remainder of the year. The model is set for a collaborative effort with five pairs from Undefeated, while Nike SB is rumored to be incorporating Lozano’s design into its growing lineup of skate-ready Air Max adaptations.
For fans of the model, this is shaping up to be a milestone year. The Big Bubble Air Max 95 'Neon' retro is set to release across select retail stores (in-store) on Friday, April 4. A staggered launch took place on Friday, April 18, but not via SNKRS as initially believed. A wider launch is expected during March of 2026.
Ahead of the 2026 re-release, sources tell House of Heat° that the Nike Air Max 95 OG "Neon" (Big Bubble) is set to restock in limited quantities during the first week of June, exclusively at select retailers. The source did not explicitly name which retailer, however we can expect to see the restock occur at retailers such as JD Sports.
