Nike Air Max 95 OG "Comet" Returns Summer 2026
The Nike Air Max 95's Big Bubble revival is expected to extend into 2026. A wider release of the model's original "Neon Green" pair is scheduled for the first-half of the new year, as is a faithful retro of the original "Comet Red" style.
Beloved by Air Max enthusiasts, the pair has only returned twice since its debut 30 years ago. The pair from 2003 featured a plumper Air bag at the heel before Nike Sportswear slimmed down the hind-foot's visible cushioning technology. In 2010, the "White/Comet Red/Black"-colored offering returned, but it didn't capture the magic once associated with the retro look. According to Instagram user @bubblekoppe, the Air Max 95's next reissue will return to its OG glory.
The take on Sergio Lozano's iconic design includes grey gradient panels along the profiles, but its standout elements are the "White" and "Comet Red" touches that land throughout the upper and sole unit. A Japan-exclusive AM95 done in a similar color-blocking dropped in September 2021, showcasing the pair's importance to diehard collectors. The Asian country's love of the vis-tech offering has also led to a Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 collaboration. Given its return to form, the "Comet" Air Maxes are expected to release with PSI (pounds per square inch) markings on the Big Bubble, a detail that differentiated the pair from other OG colors.
