Nike's Air Max 90 Gets "Ultramarine" Makeover for 35th Anniversary

Having been overshadowed by other popular designs in the NIKE, Inc. catalog celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2025, the Nike Air Max 90 continues to dress up in new styles as part of an extended 35th anniversary celebration.

Following a Hypervenom-inspired edition ready for the 2026 World Cup™, Tinker Hatfield's iconic design has appeared in a "Light Base Grey/Coconut Milk/White/Sport Royal" color scheme that bears semblance to the original "Ultramarine" Air 180 from 1991.

Throughout history, the Swoosh has made references between Air Max models on multiple occasions. The latest example adds another tally to that laundry list of cases, which even includes some Air Max-inspired Air Jordans. The newly-surfaced AM90 sees a light-colored upper accented with rich blue and "Infrared"-reminiscent flair, which connects the OG Air 180 and debut Air Max 90. A slightly "aged" look takes on much of the midsole.
