Deion Sanders’ beloved Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 from 1994 is expected to return during the Spring 2026 season.
Unveiled by Shedeur Sanders who continues to bridge football heritage with modern tunnel style, stepping into tonight’s matchup, which is also his. first NFL start, wearing the Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 “Fire Red” ahead of its confirmed return in early 2026. The moment marks yet another instance of the Sanders family ushering classic Nike turf models back into the spotlight—this time with a retro that lines up with Deion Sanders’ storied lineage in both football and footwear.
The 2026 edition of the Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 “Fire Red” sticks closely to the formula that made the silhouette one of the most recognizable trainers of the 90s. The midfoot strap returns as the signature focal point, paired with the model’s distinctive cutouts and sculpted paneling across the upper. A crisp mix of fire-red synthetic leather, white overlays, and black trim echoes the original blocking, while a gold mesh underlay nods to the Diamond Turf DNA that defined Deion’s dual-sport era.
Underfoot, the retro maintains its bold midsole composition, featuring the familiar black-and-white crash pad geometry and classic AIR lettering at the heel. The shoe’s overall structure aims to mirror the proportions and stance of the early-2000s and 2012 reissues while benefiting from updated materials for everyday wear.
With Shedeur serving as the face of its rollout, the Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 “Fire Red” is expected to make one of 2026’s strongest statement returns. Pairs are scheduled to release February 7, 2026 for $170 through Nike.com and select retailers.
