LeBron James and the Nike Sportswear team continue to reimagine the iconic Air Force 1 through the lens of the LeBron 23 basketball shoe.

Given the four-time NBA champion's historic 23rd season in the League, the Swoosh conglomerate has put together a number of different initiatives to celebrate the legacy of "King James." In addition to telling his story through the aforementioned Nike Basketball silhouette, the Oregon-based institution has played into James' love for Bruce Kilgore's 43-year-old design.

Throughout Summer 2025, the Ohio-native embarked on a tour across China in celebration of both his then-impending signature sneaker and basketball's growing relevance on a global scale. During his tour, LBJ stepped out in a special Air Force 1, which featured the same crown-shaped lower-half as the LeBron 23. This modified design's latest appearance takes on a "Voltage Green/Black/Chlorophyll/Multi-Color" makeover.

If the previously-seen style is dubbed "New York," it seems the green-clad pair is dedicated to Los Angeles. A full image set has yet to surface for the collaboration, but it's likely the sneaker reprises LBJ messaging and goat logos.
