Nike continues to honor Kobe Bryant’s legacy with a special tribute to his high school roots. The upcoming Kobe x Nike Air Force 1 “Lower Merion” Pack is set to release on March 23, celebrating the school where Bryant first rose to national basketball prominence.
Before becoming an NBA legend, Kobe Bryant dominated the hardwood at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Wearing the school’s maroon and white colors, Bryant quickly built a reputation as one of the most talented young players in the country, leading Lower Merion to a state championship in 1996 before declaring for the NBA Draft. The Kobe x Nike Air Force 1 “Lower Merion” Pack taps directly into that early chapter of Bryant’s story.
The pack includes two Nike Air Force 1 Low colorways inspired by the school’s team palette. One arrives in a rich maroon finish with textured uppers that resemble reptile skin, paired with tonal Swoosh branding and a crisp white midsole. The second pair flips the look, opting for a clean white upper with maroon accents on the collar and outsole.
Both sneakers feature subtle Kobe detailing that distinguishes them from traditional Air Force 1 releases. The Kobe Sheath logo appears on the lateral heel, while the heel tab displays Lower Merion’s “LM” insignia — a direct nod to Bryant’s alma mater and the place where his basketball journey truly began.

By bringing Kobe’s high school heritage to the iconic Nike Air Force 1, the pack blends one of basketball’s most influential legacies with one of Nike’s most recognizable silhouettes.
The Kobe x Nike Air Force 1 “Lower Merion” Pack is scheduled to release on March 23 via Nike and select retailers. An early release takes place at Philly-based retailer Lapstone & Hammer on Saturday, March 21.
