Nike's OG Hypervenom Returns in "Volt Glow/Black"
Nike Football is readying a huge year for the beloved Hypervenom line of boots. With rumors already high about Michael Olise and Erling Haaland becoming the faces of the franchise's relaunch, another pair of the Hypervenom Phantom I RGN has surfaced.
Originally released in 2013, the original Hypervenom football boot is still remembered fondly by a select slice of athletes across the world. Lauded for its incomparable NikeSkin upper, the design kicked off a three-model series before getting discontinued and replaced by the Nike Phantom lineup, which is all about goalscoring.
The Hypervenom RGN (read: regen) project surfaced in mid 2025 and began with the iconic "Black/Citrus" colorway famously endorsed by a young Neymar Jr. After a year and change in hiatus, the retro boot has reappeared in a "Volt Glow/Black" color scheme.

The pair maintains its dimpled construction across the upper, which provides a unique experience on the ball. Enlarged Swooshes around the medial forefoot and lateral heel indulge in shimmering finishes that evokes images of lethal snakes. Underfoot, the sole plate is borrowed from the Hypervenom Phantom III—specifically the Firm Ground (FG) version. This setup delivers more modern performance than the original Hypervenom's plate configuation.
