The game of baseball might be most associated with the United States of America, but the sport has been a global spectacle for ages. The World Baseball Classic is the most visible showcase of this, bringing together nations like Japan, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, to compete in front of millions of spectators.
Recent history has seen New Balance become a formidable name in the world of baseball. The signing of Shohei Ohtani in January 2023 helped, but the brand had been gradually building a roster of stars prior to the industry-shaking partnership. Ahead of the World Baseball Classic, the Boston-based brand has launched a new Signature Collection for Ohtani, offering gear for everyday lounging, training sessions, and game time. Additionally, the heritage company will introduce its International Baseball Collection of cleats, drawing inspiration from some of the tournament's most exciting participants.

The commemorative capsule includes signature models like the Lindor v3 and Ohtani v1 in addition to high-performing designs like the 3000 v7, 4040 v8, and Velo v4. Each offering draws inspiration from the national pride and heritage of New Balance's cast of global baseball athletes—including Francisco Lindor (Puerto Rico), Cal Raleigh (USA), José Altuve (Venezuela), Jeremy Peña (Dominican Republic), and Ha-Seong Kim (South Korea).
Enjoy a closer-look at the International Baseball Collection ahead. All pairs will be available via NewBalance.com starting on Thursday, Feb. 26. Youth sizing will only be available for the USA-inspired style.
