Launched in 1999, the New Balance 1000 has maintained a relatively low-profile over the last 26 years. In recent memory, however, the trail-inspired design has been at the center of some of the brand's more anticipated collaborations.

Co-signed by Joe Freshgoods and Aimé Leon Dore, the silhouette injects rugged elements into New Balance Running heritage. The result is a technical product that has enjoyed a healthy life outside of its intended use case. The comfortable ride underfoot, and versatile upper have enabled street-use that's seen the sneaker much more at home in cities than off-road.

Ahead of fall, the New Balance 1000 has taken on a number of new color schemes. Recently, a pair clad in an "Arid Stone/Slate Grey/Still Water" ensemble emerged. The pair features a predominantly understated presentation, but hits of light blue animate accents around the collar and throughout the sole unit.

Enjoy detailed shots of the impending NB 1000 ahead. Pairs should release via NewBalance.com by October for $150.
