Kith's Summer-Inspired New Balance 204L Collection Releases July 18
Ronnie Fieg's effortless cool continues to proliferate across the New Balance lineup, as the Kith imprint is set to release a 204L collaboration by autumn.
Although the Boston-based brand is set to release inline versions of the silhouette, its linkup with Fieg's empire is a tried-and-proven launch method for a new model. A previously-seen pair resembles miu miu's beloved New Balance 530L, but the Kith 204L abandons the understated suede in favor of a mix of materials rooted in running heritage.
Akin to Aimé Leon Dore's New Balance RC56 project, Kith's next collaboration with its longtime partner indulges in a perfect balance of retro flair and technical elements. The green-colored New Balance 204L bears semblance to "Nightwatch Green" and "Natural Mint" styles of the NB 610. Kith branding lands on the heel area and insole, leaving the New York-based label's stamp on yet another N-branded sneaker.

Ahead of July, Fieg previewed two previously-unseen colors of the NB 204L by Kith. Vibrant orange and pink join the mix, readying the close-to-the-ground silhouette for summer. The full collection was unveiled via elevated campaign materials, which feature a summertime vibe. All three pairs draw inspiration from the warm weather season, and have been dubbed "Camellia," "Sunburst," and "Bluebell."
Kith Women's flagship store in Manhattan will host a special floral installation between Friday, July 18, and Sunday, July 20, in celebration of the New Balance 204L's launch. According to the brand, "Each person who purchases a colorway of the [sneaker collaboration] at the flagship will receive a complimentary floral bouquet that is inspired by the specific colorway they purchase."
Pairs arrive online and in-store at all Kith locations on July 18 beginning at 11 a.m. EDT.
