Ronnie Fieg is once again dipping into the archives of his personal journey to shape the future of footwear. Teaming up with New Balance, the Kith founder introduces a brand-new silhouette — the Abzorb 2010 — launching exclusively in-store at the reopening of Kith Manhattan on May 16.

More than just a sneaker, the Abzorb 2010 is a tribute to a defining year in Fieg’s life. 2010 marked the launch of Kith and a pivotal turning point in his career — a moment when designing sneakers was all that mattered. It was a different era: before social media saturated the culture, during the height of the blog age when discovery came from daily scrolls through Tumblr, mixtapes on DatPiff, and updates from platforms like Hypebeast and Nice Kicks. The Abzorb 2010 draws from that time, restoring the raw creativity and personal connection that defined the early days of Fieg’s journey.

Over a year in the making, the silhouette was developed in close partnership with New Balance, with Fieg personally overseeing every detail. From multiple sample rounds to refined midsole blocking and subtle co-branded Kith monogram N-logos, the design balances storytelling and wearability. Offered in two distinct colorways, the model serves as both a reflection of the past and a step forward — embodying Fieg’s ongoing effort to “restore the feeling.”

The Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 2010 will release exclusively in-store at Kith Manhattan on May 16 to mark the location’s reopening — a full-circle moment that mirrors Kith’s original grand opening with New Balance back in 2011.
