LEGO Unveils Massive 5,363-Piece Godzilla Set

LEGO is bringing the King of the Monsters to brick form with a massive new LEGO Ideas Godzilla set, launching on November 27 for $450.

Built around Godzilla’s MonsterVerse appearance, the display model consists of 5,363 pieces, making it a serious build aimed at adult collectors and longtime fans of the franchise. The finished design recreates Godzilla with a dark grey body, jagged blue dorsal fins and plenty of articulation throughout.

The head, tail, arms and fingers can all be adjusted to create different poses, while a brick-built blue atomic breath effect can be attached at the mouth to recreate one of Godzilla’s most recognizable attacks. The model’s long tail and oversized dorsal plates also give the build plenty of presence as a display piece.

LEGO has packed the model with smaller details as well, from layered scales and individually built claws to the bright blue elements running from Godzilla’s back down through the tail. At 5,363 pieces, it sits firmly on the larger end of the LEGO Ideas catalog.
