June 14, 1998: The date on which the world witnessed Michael Jordan's "Last Shot." Although history shows that "His Airness" racked up additional points in the NBA during his time with the Washington Wizards, the "Last Shot" is remembered as such because it gave the Chicago Bulls the edge to earn the franchise its sixth NBA title during Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals.
The sneakers MJ was wearing?: A "Black/Varsity Red"-colored pair of the Air Jordan 14. The iconic release is set to return as part of Jordan Brand's Summer 2027 calendar, according to @KicksFinder on X.
The last time Jordan's eponymous label retroed the Ferrari-inspired silhouette in its "Last Shot" ensemble was in June 2018, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the 1998 NBA Finals' Game 6. Since then, the legendary look has appeared on a modified-for-golf Air Jordan 14, only fueling desire for another proper retro of the black-and-red pair. It's expected that the Summer 2027 reissue of the sneaker arrives in as close-to-OG-form as possible and in sizing for the whole family.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com/Jordan release details. Adult sizes of the "Last Shot" AJ14 should be priced at $215; Kids' sizes range from $65-$165.
