Now in its fourth edition, the Report remains important to the sneaker and streetwear spaces-at-large, leveraging proprietary data amassed from thousands of sales on the aforementioned sites.
As reaffirmed by Eddy Lu, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GOAT Group, "[The alias Market Report] has been a vital source of insights for the industry." The trend continues in 2026.

Without further ado, here are highlights from the '26 alias Market Report.
Top 10 Most-Wanted Sneakers (2025)
The year 2025 marked the 40th anniversary of Nike signing Michael Jordan to a signature athlete deal. Although a big risk at the time, the decision proved to be industry-changing. As such, it's no surprise that history's most successful athlete-specific line of footwear dominated the Top 10 Most-Wanted and Sold Sneakers..
The Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 11 made three appearances each in the Top 10, while the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 5 appeared twice.
The lone non-Air Jordan style to crack a top spot amongst the year's most important launches was the ASICS GEL-1130; comfort-driven, trendy, and accessibly-priced, how could it not?

Away from any individual colorway, decades-old footwear designs proved their timelessness over the last 365 days.
Numerous silhouettes from MJ's signature series appeared in the Top Five of the Most Wanted and Top-Selling on GOAT. The similar Air Jordan 1 and Nike Dunk entered the mix, showing that 40-years-old still looks good.

Best-Selling Collabs (2025)
Although many iconic sneaker designs of the last 40 years are able to stand on their own, well-crafted, thoughtfully-executed collaborations can help breathe new life into a familiar silhouette.
In recent years, many consumers had taken to social media to express collab-fatigue, but numerous partnerships across different brands made some folks reconsider.
Bad Bunny and adidas Originals made a statement throughout 2025, keeping Nike, Inc. from completely dominating the Top 10 Most Sold Collabs on GOAT. Travis Scott and Nigel Sylvester continued to leave their marks on the world of Jordan Brand, with other longtime Swoosh and Jumpman partners rounding out the cohort.

Top Five New Silhouettes (2025)
Handfuls of sneakers celebrated milestone anniversaries in '25, while others will forever remember the year for their debuts.
Several basketball models made impressions on and off-the-court, but none saw the widespread acceptance of the Nike Ja 3 and Converse SHAI 001, two entries that had many former nay-sayers believing in the Swoosh conglomerate again.
Nike Running's Pegasus Premium and the lounge-ready ReactX Rejuven8 also won over audiences for different reasons. Two common ones between both, however, were comfort and innovation.
Ranked by Sales:
- Nike ReactX Rejuven8
- Nike Ja 3
- Nike A'One
- Converse SHAI 001
- Nike Pegasus Premium

The futuristic ClimaCool 4D also made waves, although its production numbers have yet to reach those of the Harden Vol. 9 and Women's Taekwondo—two other styles that exploded in popularity.

Predictions for 2026
The future is never truly certain, but the last few editions of the alias Market Report have earned GOAT Group a dependable track record in forecasting trends in footwear.
According to proprietary data, a sneaker story to look out for throughout the remainder of '26 is the continued resurgence and staying power of Nike Shox, the bold line of performance models from the early 2000s that's enjoyed adoption in the streets over the years.
Here are some figures that help paint the picture:
- Shox TL saw 85% sales growth and 46% demand growth
- Shox R4 saw 104% sales growth and 102% demand growth
- Shox Ride 2 saw 179% sales growth and 112% demand growth
Elsewhere, Caitlin Clark, Cooper Flagg, and Victor Wembanyama will usher in a new era of signature athletes. Models like A'ja Wilson's Nike A'One prove that consumers will still get behind a product as long as it's good and endorsed by elite-level talent.
Lastly, recovery slides, clogs, and mules are expected to dominate footwear rotations across the globe. The breakout success that was the ReactX Rejuven8 is already being seen with the Nike Mind 001 despite recently debuting on Jan. 8:
- In less than a month, demand for theMind 001 has grown 2,188%. Sales of the mule have resulted in an average profit of 81% over MSRP.
