adidas SPZL is bringing football heritage and terrace culture together once again with the launch of its latest SPZL F.C. collection, spotlighting three of the brand’s sponsored clubs: Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Celtic.
Each club’s capsule includes footwear and apparel, exclusively available at their respective club stores in mid-October. The collection’s footwear component is built on the Roelee SPZL silhouette, refined through subtle tweaks unique to each team—mainly tongue executions and bespoke color treatments inspired by each club’s history and identity.
For Newcastle United, the shoe leans into the club’s iconic black-and-white palette, accented by contrast white stitching inspired by Kazuki Kuraishi’s ObyO Superstar design. A light blue tongue framed in black and gold nods to archived crests, while translucent bone foxing and gold foil detailing complete the refined terrace-ready look.

The Celtic SPZL F.C. iteration takes a deep dive into the club’s layered green heritage, referencing the many shades of green found across its historic crests. The result blends multiple tones of green across materials and branding, with dark translucent foxing, a white dimpled Ecotex tongue, and dual lace options for a flexible finish.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s edition finds harmony in its classic claret and blue roots. The design draws inspiration from vintage adidas Rhodes sneakers, featuring a smooth Ecotex tongue with yellow branding and “Made for Spezial F.C.” text. Flocked stripes and light gum foxing offer a subtle complement to the vintage color mix.

Each pair includes secondary laces, branded footbeds, and gold foil club insignia, tying back to the refined SPZL aesthetic. The SPZL F.C. collection launches October 16–17, with the Newcastle and Aston Villa editions dropping on October 16 and Celtic’s following on October 17. All pairs will be available through each club’s official store, with limited-edition gifts for early buyers.
A wider release on adidas.com is expected, but not yet confirmed.
