The Adidas Gazelle Marks 60 Years with Luxe Anniversary Edition

Since first hitting shelves in 1966, the Adidas Gazelle has carved out a legacy few sneakers can match. Now, as the model approaches its 60th anniversary in 2026, Adidas is preparing a commemorative release of the Gazelle Indoor to honor the milestone, set to arrive a little early for Fall 2025.

The anniversary edition leans into premium materials and heritage cues to celebrate the Gazelle’s six-decade journey. A smooth white leather upper sets the tone, embroidered throughout for a tactile finish. Dark navy snakeskin overlays add a sharp contrast to the stripes and heel, while rich chocolate brown suede appears on the toe cap, eyestay, and heel wrap, grounding the design in retro sport aesthetics. Underfoot, the signature gum sole remains untouched, keeping the classic Gazelle Indoor DNA intact.

Finishing off the pair is subtle yet celebratory branding at the lateral ankle, where “Gazelle 60” text is stamped in gold foil, marking this release as a special chapter in the silhouette’s long-standing story.
