Anthony Edwards’ AE 1 Football Cleat to Drop May 2026 in “Core Black”
Anthony Edwards is taking his signature sneaker line to the gridiron. Following the on-court success of his AE 1 basketball silhouette, Adidas is now bringing the energy to football fields with the upcoming release of the AE 1 Football cleat.
Set to debut in May 2026, the cleat comes dressed in a “Core Black” colorway, featuring a breathable mesh upper and a striking sculpted TPU frame that mirrors the design DNA of the original AE 1 sneaker. The lateral side houses a honeycomb-like structure, offering both aesthetic edge and structural support. Meanwhile, vibrant neon green accents hit the heel branding and tongue loop to deliver a bold finish.
Underfoot, the cleat is built for performance. A lightweight plate offers multidirectional traction, while the Boost-cushioned heel adds comfort during explosive play. Designed with input from Edwards himself, this cleat is tailored for players who bring flair and aggression to their game — just like the Timberwolves star.
The Adidas AE 1 Football Cleat “Core Black” is expected to release in May 2026 via adidas.com and select retailers.
