Adidas' Adizero Running franchise is looking to dominate all Abbott World Major Marathons this year. Having already secured podium placements amongst Men at the Boston Marathon, the mileage-obsessed division has its (eyelets) eyes set on the remaining six races. To help athletes train for these events, the Three Stripes has developed shoes like the EVO SL, which recently emerged in ensembles inspired by some of the brand's sponsored college athletic programs.
In the past, Adidas has launched performance footwear like the UltraBOOST dedicated to the Louisville Cardinals, Arizona State Sun Devils, and other top collegiate squads across the country. These items allow athletes to train in commemorative gear, while also allowing fans to feel closer to their favorite teams. Beyond a simple logo placement on the tongue or other component of the shoe, the lightweight tempo trainer features profile 3-Stripes referencing school colors. Additionally, nods to the Mississippi Bulldogs, Texas Tech, NC State Wolfpack, and Miami Hurricanes, amongst others, appears atop the laces, on the footbed, and at the LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam's lateral heel.
Enjoy official photos of the latest EVO SL collection below. Pairs should begin rolling out via Adidas.com/College by fall, alongside other gear inspired by programs sponsored by the Three Stripes. The running shoe is priced at $150.
