Jaylen Brown might've not fulfilled the prophecy he shared with Taylor Rooks in 2018, but he's delivering on his mission to showcase the power of ownership in signature performance basketball footwear with his 741 Brand.
Now a Philadelphia 76er, the 29-year-old recently took to social media and the Jimmy Kimmel Live! (guest-hosted by Anthony Anderson) to unveil the next iteration of his marquee 741 basketball shoe.
A followup to the 741 Rover that was initially announced in September 2024, the unnamed silhouette features another futuristic aesthetic. Design-wise, the model opts for a taller, laceless build that seemingly provides a secure fit through the use of a sock-like base and BOA® Fit System-like setup.
A complete technical breakdown of Brown's next top-of-the-line hoops shoe remains to be seen, but the guard has been practicing in the 741 silhouette ahead of his 2026 NBA Opening Night match against the New York Knicks.
Brown has called on his community for help naming the new 741 Brand model, asking his X followers, "What should I call these[?]" Whether marketing tactic or genuine question, the move signals that the new design is ready to take on the NBA.
