Serious Horsepower.
Being the official partners of Scuderia Ferrari, the oldest and most successful racing team in the world, you’d expect PUMA to cherish the partnership. And they have; over the year’s we’ve seen some great capsules, including the recently released duo of PUMA CELLs. But their next collaboration creation, this fresh take on the PUMA RS-X, is one of the cleanest we’ve seen to date
The silhouette itself is a rework of PUMA’s RS trainers from the ’80s and ’90s, which was also a power-period for the Italian Stallion, come inspired by Ferrari’s ability to continually reinvent themselves. The chunky crep adorns a crisp white mesh and textile upper, paired with off-white leather overlays, with a minor hit of 3M reflective on the lateral forefoot. Added embellishments include black pull tabs on the tongues — complete with white RS-X branding — tonal formstripe debossed into the side panels, red plastic heel pulls and the iconic Scuderia logo on the heels. Additional pops of color arrive on the mid and outsole, where you’ll find the Italian car manufacturer’s trio of red, yellow and black sprinkled throughout.
