In addition to his impending Air Jordan 36 release, Washington Wizards Power Forward Rui Hacimura will join fellow Jumpman athlete Zion Williamson in receiving his own Air Jordan 1 Low OG.
Featuring traditional woven sakura silk uppers, you’ll spot symbols of good fortune, including the nation’s bird of happiness — the crane — and freshly-bloomed Cherry Blossoms. This is then centered around a suede tongue and toe box combo of jet black, with waxed laces and liners arriving in complementary hues. Metallic gold appears in several ket placements including the tongue and heel branding, lace aglets, and Swoosh underlays; the latter is overlayed by black patent leathers to complete the upper half. All of this then comes complete atop a white and grey sole unit.
Grab an up-close look at the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Cranes” (and the accompanying AIr Jordan 36) courtesy of Ric Mestre, and, unlike the aforementioned pair from Zion Williamson, these are not expected to release to the public; But as is always the case, pairs will likely end up on aftermarket sites soon.
