Jordan Brand is set to bring back the Jordan Son of Mars Low in Summer 2026, reviving the hybrid model that blends elements from several classic Air Jordan silhouettes. Originally introduced in the early 2010s, the sneaker was created as a tribute to Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon character, whose appearances in Nike and Air Jordan commercials helped define the brand’s cultural impact during the late 1980s and 1990s.
The design pulls together recognizable details from across the Air Jordan lineage. Elements from the Air Jordan 3, 4, 5, and 6 are incorporated throughout the build, including elephant print overlays, visible Air cushioning, and signature paneling inspired by the era’s most influential models. The tongue also references Lee’s Mars Blackmon persona, reinforcing the connection between the sneaker and the filmmaker’s long-running relationship with Jordan Brand.
The Jordan Son of Mars Low offers a slightly more streamlined version of the original mid-cut model, maintaining the hybrid construction while presenting it in a lower profile suited for everyday wear. Classic materials and familiar Jordan color blocking remain central to the design, allowing the sneaker to balance retro influence with a more casual presentation.
While Jordan Brand has yet to officially unveil the full lineup, multiple colorways of the Jordan Son of Mars Low are expected to release throughout 2026.
