Air Jordan 9 “Gym Red” Returns Summer 2027

The Air Jordan 9 “Gym Red” is expected to return in Summer 2027, bringing back the non-OG colorway for the first time since its 2019 release.

First introduced in 2019, the pair delivers a clean Bulls-friendly look with a white leather upper, matching mesh paneling, and a glossy Gym Red patent leather mudguard wrapping the lower half of the shoe. Black Jumpman branding and subtle black accents add contrast, while a white midsole and outsole keep the finish sharp.

While not part of the original Air Jordan 9 lineup, the “Gym Red” release has become one of the model’s more recognizable modern colorways. Its red-and-white palette feels familiar to the Jordan catalog, while the patent leather finish gives the silhouette a more polished edge.

The Air Jordan 9 has never been short on contrasting color blocking, and this pair leans into that with a simple but effective setup. The glossy red overlay does most of the heavy lifting, giving the shoe a standout look without overcomplicating the design.

The Air Jordan 9 “Gym Red” is expected to release in Summer 2027 via Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. More details are expected to surface closer to the release.
