On-Foot Looks // Air Jordan 5 "Black Metallic" Reimagined

The Air Jordan 5 OG "Black Metallic" is poised for a grand return in the Spring of 2025 in celebration of the iconic design's 35th anniversary.

This revelation hints at a revival of one of the original Air Jordan 5 colorways, a fan favorite that has not seen a Nike Air-branded retro since 2016.

Dubbed with a "Reimagined" badge, the pair will feature familiar white laces — as worn by Mike himself — along with a contemporary tweak to the nubuck overlays. Expect the textile's thick edging to sport a reflective 3M finish — a nod to TInker's ingenuity to introduce the reflective material to a basketball shoe for the first time on the original design.

The remainder of the sneaker is expected to arrive in true-to-OG tooling.
