Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” Returns with Nike Air for Black Friday 2025

The Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” is officially set to return on November 28th, 2025—just in time for Black Friday. It arrives five years after its last retro release in 2020, but this time, Jordan Brand is giving the beloved colorway a meaningful upgrade: Nike Air branding on the heel.

This will mark another non-OG, non-collaborative Jordan retro of 2025 to feature Nike Air, following the "Rare Air" Jordan 3 and "Rare Air" Jordan 4, and the upcoming Air Jordan 5 “35th Anniversary.” That subtle switch from Jumpman to Swoosh is a big one for collectors, signaling a closer tie to the brand’s original heritage—even on newer-era favorites.

First introduced in 2006 and reissued in 2020, the “Black Cat” colorway has steadily grown in popularity. The all-black construction, named after one of Michael Jordan’s most famous nicknames, has become a standout in the Jordan 4 catalog. Its stealthy design, tonal materials, and clean build have kept it relevant in the resale market, where prices exceed $1,000. The 2025 edition is expected to retain the same material makeup, with suede uppers, blacked-out hardware, and a matching midsole—only now with that coveted Nike Air heel badge.
