Ronnie Fieg continues his storied partnership with ASICS, unveiling the GEL-KAYANO 12.1, a hybrid silhouette that marries the design elements of the KAYANO 12 and the NIMBUS 17.

The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 features the upper of the KAYANO 12, initially designed by Toshikazu Kayano, a silhouette known for its timeless appeal. The outsole comes from the GEL-NIMBUS 17, designed for high-mileage marathon running, which offers enhanced durability and comfort. The combination results in a sneaker that honors its roots while pushing the boundaries of technical innovation.

Aesthetically, the sneaker boasts a lightweight mesh upper adorned with ASICS' iconic Tiger stripes on the lateral side. Unique design touches include distinct branding on the tongues: the left shoe features Japanese Kanji for 'Kayano', a tribute to the shoe's original designer, while the right shoe reads 'Friend', nodding to Fieg’s “Kith and Kin” ethos, which celebrates friends and family.

The midsole utilizes FluidRide technology, paired with extended rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning units, ensuring that each step is comfortable. This is the first instance in ASICS history where this particular sole configuration has been adapted for the GEL-KAYANO 12, previously used by Fieg on GEL-LYTE III models.

The Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1 will be available via a drawing on the Kith App, which is now open.

Following the drawing, limited quantities will be released on Monday, June 24th at 11 AM EST/CET at Kith shops, Kith.com, and the Kith App.
