The expansive world of Yohji Yamamoto has been blending sports heritage and fashion for more than 20 years thanks to the adidas Y-3 partnership. One discipline in which the Japanese imprint has operated on multiple occasions is football, bringing wild aesthetics to modern performance footwear.
Before 2026 ends, adidas Football and Y-3 are set to release special-editions of the F50 and Predator franchises. The project features wild, eye-catching makeovers inspired by the same dragon and tiger creatures first seen via the +F50 Tunit "Beast Pack" from 2006—a collection reissued for its 20th anniversary.
For their latest foray into "the beautiful game," Yamamoto and company reimagine the F50 HYPERFAST Elite and Predator 26 FT Elite in iconic artwork from the past. Both silhouettes maintain their technical construction, further showcasing what's possible when avant-garde style comes together with performance innovation.

Akin to the David Beckham x adidas Predator 26 "White/Red" project, the "Tiger" Predator Elite by Y-3 doesn't feature traditional NANOSTRIKE+ rubber elements on the upper, which may deter some avid footballers from adding the pair to their collections.
Earlier in the year, adidas U.S. Football launched similar "Tiger" and "Dragon" designs by Y-3 on the Adizero Electric+ II.
Enjoy official shots of the adidas Y-3 football boots ahead. The duo is expected to launch via adidas.com before November. Men's and Kids' sizing will be available.
