It’s been a long time since the adidas ZX 8000 graced shelves in its classic form, with recent appearances mostly reserved for spiked golf variants. But as we transition into Fall 2025, the retro runner looks set to reclaim some spotlight. Kicking things off is a three-way Consortium collaboration between adidas, Tokyo’s mita Sneakers, and UK retailer Offspring.
The result is a greyscale ZX 8000 that blends understated materials with standout accents. Mesh and shaggy suede dominate the upper in various shades of grey, complemented by cream Three Stripe branding and black midsoles. Chrome heel counters bring a sharp contrast and elevate the pair with a techy finish. A purple dragon motif at the heel nods to mita’s Tokyo roots, while co-branded lace jewels and insole logos represent the union across continents. Additional laces in yellow, white, and teal provide a customizable edge.

There’s no release date locked in just yet, but expect more details on the mita x Offspring x adidas ZX 8000 to surface as we settle deeper into the season.
In other Adidas news, the brand has dropped an unprecedented 20% off the Gazelle.
