adidas Training has made inroads in the world of hybrid fitness through technically-advanced gear. Although much attention has been paid to the race-ready Adizero Dropset Elite, the brand's Adizero Dropset Pro training shoe is the perfect companion to the top-of-the-line performance silhouette.
The marquee workout shoe has been on the market for months, but a recent campaign from the Three Stripes showcases just how versatile the Dropset Pro is. Elite athletes from a variety of disciplines—including the NBA's James Harden, LALIGA's Trent Alexander-Arnold, and rugby's recently-retired Ilona Maher—have put the hybrid fitness footwear offering to the test, enjoying the mix of speed and strength the lightweight shoe provides.
Akin to the aforementioned Dropset Elite, the Dropset Pro is rooted in two technological platforms that've helped countless athletes reach personal bests across racing and lifting: adidas Adizero and adidas Dropset, respectively.
Tech specs in the HYROX-ready trainer include
- CLIMACOOL Upper: Lightweight, breathable material that enables speedy moisture-wicking
- LIGHTSTRIKE PRO Foam: As seen in the speed-focused Adizero Running range, the engine of the shoe is fine-tuned for a super-light feel & enhanced responsiveness when pushing the pace.
- ENERGYRODS: Proven within marathon running, the integrated stiffening agent is strategically placed around the foot to improve energy return & stability.
- Continental™ Rubber & LIGHTRAXION: Reliable traction for varied surfaces

"The shoe is light, stable, and built to push hard, on runs and stations," said Tim Wenisch, Fitness Racing Doubles World Champion. "The Grip gives me the edge on the sleds."
Wenisch won the HYROX Elite 15 Male Singles hosted in Melbourne in December 2025 while wearing the Adizero Dropset Elite. He trained in the Dropset Pro.
The Adizero Dropset Pro is now available via adidas.com for $150. New colorways include Men's "Dash Grey/Turbo Solar" and Women's "Solar Turbo/Lucid Pink" pairs; a handful of other styles are also available now, with more colorways being added regularly.
