The adidas Samba Jane is back — and this time, it arrives with a little more attitude.

After debuting in early 2025 as one of adidas Originals’ more fashion-forward reinterpretations of the classic Samba, the ballet-inspired silhouette is set to return for Summer 2026 in a new “Stars & Studs” execution that leans further into the growing crossover between balletcore styling and edgier streetwear aesthetics.

The original adidas Samba Jane arrived at the height of two dominant women’s footwear trends: low-profile terrace sneakers and Mary Jane silhouettes. By combining the iconic Samba with a strap-based ballet-inspired construction, adidas tapped into both, creating one of the brand’s more unexpected lifestyle successes of the year.

This latest pair pushes things a little further.

While the traditional Samba DNA remains intact, the updated “Stars & Studs” design introduces metallic star detailing and silver stud accents throughout the upper, adding a more rebellious feel to the otherwise minimalist silhouette. The familiar low-profile build, slip-on construction, and Velcro strap setup all remain, while premium leather panels and classic gum tooling continue to root the pair firmly within adidas’ football heritage.

Like the original releases of the model, the sneaker still feels heavily connected to terrace culture, despite its fashion-first presentation. That balance has become a defining trait of the Samba Jane line — blending sport heritage with contemporary women’s styling trends in a way that feels wearable rather than costume-like.

The timing also makes sense. adidas continues to expand its women’s Originals lineup beyond straightforward retros, experimenting with updated constructions and hybrid styling concepts as lifestyle tastes continue shifting toward slimmer silhouettes and more expressive detailing.

With ballet-inspired footwear still holding momentum heading into 2026, the adidas Samba Jane “Stars & Studs” looks positioned to continue the model’s strong run into another season.
