adidas and Penn State University have officially launched their new 10-year partnership, bringing the Three Stripes to one of college sports’ most recognizable athletic programs.

The long-term deal will see adidas outfit Penn State’s 31 varsity sports while working with the university on athlete-focused storytelling, fan experiences, and NIL opportunities. The partnership blends adidas’ performance and lifestyle reach with Penn State’s deep-rooted tradition, giving the brand a major new presence across the college sports landscape.

To introduce the partnership, adidas has rolled out a new campaign film featuring the Nittany Lion alongside Penn State alumni and adidas partners Abdul Carter and Ali Krieger. The launch also includes an initial drop of licensed fan gear, bringing adidas’ Three-Stripe identity to Penn State’s classic blue-and-white look.

The first wave of adidas x Penn State apparel is available now through adidas.com, local retailers, and select online partners, with more gear expected to roll out throughout the year. The launch collection includes co-branded pieces designed for fans across Penn State’s athletic program, not just football.

adidas is also bringing the launch to campus through a pop-up shop at Pegula Ice Arena. The shop will run July 1-2 and July 8-12, giving fans the chance to purchase gear from every Penn State sport while also receiving co-branded collectible gifts with purchase.

The partnership extends beyond apparel as well. adidas and Penn State are also teaming with the historic Berkey Creamery on a limited-edition ice cream flavor, available at the Creamery throughout July.

A major part of the agreement will be NIL. Throughout the 10-year partnership, adidas and Penn State plan to prioritize athlete marketing campaigns and high-impact NIL agreements across the university’s 31 sports. The goal is to give student-athletes more visibility while expanding the reach of both Penn State and the athletes representing the school.

The move marks another major investment from adidas in college sports, continuing the brand’s push into university partnerships and athlete-driven storytelling. For Penn State, it opens a new chapter with one of the world’s biggest sportswear brands while keeping the school’s long-standing identity front and center.

The adidas x Penn State launch gear is available now.
