The adidas Jabbar revival has been a curious one. Outside of a small run that wrapped up around mid-2025, along with several standout collaborations from Willy Chavarria, the return of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s signature silhouette has yet to fully find its footing. But before the model is written off as a brief archival blip, adidas is bringing something far louder into the mix with a new Jabbar “Animal Pack.”
Arriving in both High and Low forms, the adidas Jabbar “Animal Pack” leans heavily into faux-fur construction, dressing the vintage basketball model in a mix of zebra, leopard, and dalmatian-style prints. While the execution immediately brings to mind the kind of mismatched animal-print language long associated with Atmos, this release is not officially connected to the Japanese retailer. Instead, adidas appears to be borrowing from that broader visual lane while keeping the palette more controlled across each pair.
The Jabbar High takes a mostly black-and-white approach, with zebra striping leading the side panels, spotted overlays appearing across the heel and lower sections, and black faux fur anchoring the Three Stripes, eyestay, toe, and collar. A black adidas tongue label keeps things classic, while the off-white midsole gives the pair a lightly aged finish.
The low-top pair follows a similar formula but shifts toward warmer tones, bringing in leopard-style brown panels alongside zebra striping and black faux-fur accents. The mix of textures gives the adidas Jabbar Low a more lifestyle-focused edge, moving the silhouette further away from its hardwood origins and into the same statement-sneaker space that helped animal-print releases become so recognizable in the early 2000s and 2010s.
A release date for the adidas Jabbar “Animal Pack” has not yet been confirmed, but pairs are expected to arrive during Summer/Fall 2026 via adidas and select retailers.
