Jerry Lorenzo's Fear of God Athletics partnership with adidas may not be renewed after 2026, but the ambitious collaboration recently teased its third mainline silhouette, the Basketball III.

Before the Fear of God-frontman launched his first capsule with the Three Stripes, he shared that his pinnacle expression of performance hoops footwear would arrive in three different iterations—aptly named Basketball I, II, and now III. Lorenzo has been vocal about the original offering skewing more towards the lifestyle realm than performance space; subsequent proposals have prioritized the hardwood, with the Basketball III reportedly being the shoe Lorenzo had in mind when he formed Fear of God Athletics with the backing of adidas.

On Dec. 5, the designer laced up his Basketball III silhouette to a matchup between the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers. This unveiling coincided with rollouts of previous launches, with Lorenzo giving the public not only a first-look at product, but also showcasing how to style his work. The Fear of God Athletics face also took to Instagram to share in-hand photos of the pair, which arrives in a low-top trim not too dissimilar from Donovan Mitchell's D.O.N. Issue #7. Tech specs for the Basketball III haven't been disclosed uet, but it's likely the shoe utilizes some mix of BOOST and LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foams. Uppers are highly-ventilated and padded, and feature some through-line to retro adidas Predator football boot designs.

Firm adidas.com release details haven't been disclosed by either party involved, but the all-new Fear of God Athletics pair should launch in the near future.
