Adidas' Adizero line continues to explore the color wheel across its performance-oriented roster. The Adios Pro 4 marathon racer abandons the 'Lucid Lime' and other vibrant hues found on previous ensembles in favor of a 'Core Black/Focus Olive/Charcoal' update.
While not thematic like the recently-surfaced pair for the Rio de Janeiro Marathon, the impending take on the Adios Pro 4 delivers a comeplling, refreshing aesthetic. The woven LIGHTLOCK upper sets the stage in a pitch-dark tone, which is interrupted by the profile 3-Stripes' 'Focus Olive' finish. Adizero text on the tongue and the felt padding around the inner heel also follow suit, presenting the lightweight running model in an autumn-appropriate look. The LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole – which differs from the $500 Adios Pro Evo 2 – reverts to a 'Core Black' hue that works in-tandem with 'Charcoal' hits to keep things understated.
Underfoot, the skateboard wheel-like LIGHTTRAXION compound across the outsole enjoys a milky, semi-translucent execution that allows for the olive-colored Continental rubber patch underneath the big toe to steal the spotlight.
Enjoy official photos of the latest Adizero marathon racer below. Expect pairs of the 'Core Black/Focus Olive' style to hit Adidas.com by May with a price tag of $250.
Outside of the Three Stripes family, the Nike VaporFly 4 promises a lighter, more competitive ride than its predecessor.
